ABOUT TAYLOR
A native of South Carolina, Taylor High graduated in 2004 from the Professional Gardening Program at Longwood Gardens, a premier horticultural display garden in Pennsylvania. There she completed two years of rigorous academic studies and apprenticed in all areas of the conservatories and gardens. Renowned for their immaculate garden displays and dedication to educating horticulturalists, it is at Longwood Gardens that Taylor learned and practiced proper garden techniques alongside some of the world's best gardeners.
Upon graduation from the Longwood Gardens Professional
Gardening Program, she created her own business maintaining prominent estate gardens in and around horticulturally rich Wilmington, Delaware. Taylor made lasting relationships with clients, cultivating their gardens for over twelve years to the highest horticultural standards and with an eye for detail.
Taylor brings her horticultural expertise and love of gardening to Charleston, the surrounding area, and your fine garden since 2016.
HOW IS A PROFESSIONAL GARDENER DIFFERENT FROM A LANDSCAPER?
A landscaper typically is not specialized in horticulture and has many jobs, including landscape installation and maintenance, and installation of patios, walls and other hardscape features.
A professional gardener is someone who is studied and trained in the art and science of horticulture and specializes in one area of landscaping. That specialty is making plants flourish. A professional gardener is thoughtful, meticulous, and artful.
